Lights on 9/11

I *think* there is a form of fantasy football that works this way. I would love to play if there was.
Yes, there's quite a few out there where you can "buy" talent. Some still involve drafting to an extent, others let you pick in order and you make different offers for a player, etc.

Agreed. I think the issue is that even economists disagree....but in small segments we can compare. Pick a "blue collar" field such as factory work...but what kind and I bet they have experience a decline in real wages. Pick a "white collar" job such as financial analyst and I am sure real wages have increased signifcantly.
Well for this sort of an issue I would argue it makes more sense to argue stagnant wages on an economy wide field, not per sector...

I imagine buggy wip workers witnessed a depression of wages at the turn of the century...

Come on over. We are very accepting of gays here. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I have an idea of the level of competition. Notice I did not mention Bill Gates....Bill Gates is not an investor, per say.
I was an intern and it provided me valueable work experience and a whole host of contacts. I think you are bitter about something. I see no issue with the sentence I highlighted. That is the American dream....
I had 2 of the best internships and a 3.4 GPA and used to think like you. Then I got hit with a reality smack. Having to take fire all day, having work dumped on you from your boss who just happens to stick his nose in at just the right minute to take credit.. not for me thank you. And its not just me its everyone I know. Yeah im bitter that I sort of wasted my time, now Im smarter and have a small business and gross 500k a year and I wake up at 3 every morning to do it.

Mr future financier, the most profiting company in NYC in 2004? was Goldman Sachs. That year they also wanted to build a new headquarters in Manhattan. Why did this have to be funded by millions of taxpayer money while the CEO takes a 100 mil bonus? IS THIS NOT A JOKE?

You give up too easily, perhaps. I am glad to know you have made an excellent career. My GPA > your GPA btw....

I understand your frustration...I just play the game....and get played to a certain extent. I don't really have any skill that could be translated easily into a small business.

No...why pay when you can get someone else to fund it?

I didnt exactly study very hard, but I did my best to pay attention.

I dont have a career, I have a small business. Its very routine and not very challenging.

Hopefully one day I will finish writing this screenplay, it is what I went to school for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif It deals with wants and needs, and the conflict between peoples morals/values and their desire to 'achieve'. Characters range from pushover employees (think American Beauty) to drug dealers & petty criminals, crooked cops (ala Training Day).. shady businessmen, dirty judges, high class prostitutes.. they all have something in common. I think I appropriately titled it the 'Cost of Living'.

best of luck with your future bro

along those lines, do we not need teachers and cops anymore? We got principals that cant spell and videos of beatdown robbery and shootings all day on youtube.

Gisele Bundchen 'earned' 30+mil this year. What did she do to earn that? If Gisele Bundchen came up with some booth thingamajig that scanned your physical and could make a blueprint for a garment then yeah I would say she earned it and probably revitalize the industry. Perfect fitting clothing, customize from a catalogue how awesome would that be.

we should really work on increasing efficiency. More robotics keeps more jobs in the U.S. Its already going on in housing with factory built homes, General Steel.. can we push towards a means of not relying on oil so much? Train, tram, trolley development? Where is the guy who made a car run on water? I hear Peerless boilers cut your bill a good 40%.. Ill be calling them for dam sure!

With so many immigrants why cant we double our corn production? Ethanol should be at the pumps like diesel which is everywhere here. I havent seen an ethanol pump yet. Will ethanol fade like the EV1?

The faster and further we pursue these things the better. Instead Im reading about our new interest in the Arctic and Russians flying into our air space and having to be escorted out. NOT GOOD
