lightning audio x1 12... How to remove the top assembly?

im about to go pick one up on craigslist for 80 and was wondering how remove the top assembly to check the coil and what not. this is what im gettin...

these have the 3hp motors correct?

on the side of the motor there should be allen head bolts

You have to pop those mesh screens out to get at the fasteners.

so i pop the mesh out and then there will be screws? do i use a 90 degree screwdriver? and do you think its worth it for 80?

All that matters is if you think it's worth it.

He has a 12". I've never seen a 12" Storm mount from the side, maybe they're out there.

If you look at the basket in my F/S thread you'll see the same thing but it still mounted from the top. It's just a plastic plug.
