Light dimming with Sundown 2500 and Rockford 1000.4-ad

Hello everyone. I am getting substantial dimming of interior and exterior lights when the bass hits on my FI BTL 15. I have a DC power 300amp alternator, Big 3 and single XS Power D3400. Since I am running about 3500 watts RMS do you think adding another D3400 will help eliminate the dimming? SAZ 2500 is wired at 1 ohm. Thanks guys

Id run one under the hood, and a pair in the rear..that may get it done

On the XS Power website it says adding a d3400 as a secondary battery will be good up to 4,000 watts. I already have one under the hood. Just wanted to see if this claim is true

I would still run a pair in the back. Your setup will be even happier. I would say start with one and go from there. I run a total of 3 3400s myself. I have dual Crescendos strapped @ 2 ohm for 4K. My 250 alt will ship this week, so I should be ok. No dimming at all right now on stock alt with the 3 batts. I do have dual runs of 1/0 wire ran from the front batt to the rear.

Do you have a dedicated ground? That was the only way to get rid of the dimming in my last setup.

Yea we will see. 13.5V is the lowest it goes with my 300amp alternator and d3400 up front. I am hoping the extra d3400 will have enough reserve to keep it at least at 14.0V

That extra Batt will surely help out quite a bit..As stated, try the edition, and if you still have issues, id add one more batt, but with the one under the hood, and the addition, you may be just fine..Let us know how it turns out if you decide to run the extra batt,and give us some reviews .

Iirc that batt is only 65ah get a 3100 for the rear if u can fit it and if you still have bad dimming run a ground from front batt to back batt
