And to the original poster again... If you have all this stuff and still fell ungrateful or that life is unfair, (Mr. Phrozt) you definitely need to get out a little more and see how many people have it both better and worse than you.
Think about it. You will always have it better than some and worse than some. Instead of wallowing in your misery, stop, think waht you need to do to remedy the situation, and execute the plan. You are one smart kid, but as soon as you "curl up inside yourself" you have to out think yourself to recover from the mental block of self centeredness. Being self centered is one of the hardest things to truly overcome, as well as being one of the most truly self destructive things you can do to yourself mentally in my opinion. When you think about yourself all of the time and are perfectionistic (nothing is ever good enough) and worse yet marginally lazy, it's a downward spirl of self doubt, self hate, and then self injury.
Please, for your sake, avoid thinking like this, while being frustrated with yourself is the natural response it is not the virtueous one. Determination and work to overcome the problems leads to satisfaction and harmony. In a karma sense, waht you have done in the past you cannot change, but you can change our future and negate the bad by doing good. Believe me, if you think like you have been thinking in the original post often, like I did for the last few years, you WILL become depressed and you most likely WILL want to hurt yourself.
