Hey guys my friend has a 30gb video ipod and we were lookn online you can get the screens for them to actually replace. But were wondering is it hard to do ? does the ipod actually go back together normal or is there usually problems when u try to put it back together at all? Thanks in advance for the info guys

You can never get it back to look perfect, but if its already broke, whats it gonna hurt?

are you going to replace the actual screen or just the front plastic cover. I replaced the cover on mine with a new one because it was all scratched up and it looks brand new.

If you're careful taking them apart they will go back together fine

if its broke, try it. what else can you do to your ipod. i say go for it

Thanks Bhs for that link very good info. But man that is alot could fck up on really. He's just gonna get a new one to bad to cause this thing is in really good condition. Besides the fck up on the screen. still works just the screen has a line across it.

iPods are really easy to fix / repair. There are many guides online. You can do it with a Knife, just don't be afraid to force it. It's all metal, so, you need to work a bit hard. But, the actual process is easy.

Is there anyone online that would be willing to fix this if i did buy the screen for it. I could ship them the ipod as soon as i were to get the screen in the mail or does anyone know of a local place maybe in michigan that would fix em?

If you do it right, it won't look too bad as lilmaniac said. I am about the replace the hard drive in the same model as yours.
