Lets talk hip-hop/rap

Little Wing > Little Wayne
Metallica > My Speakers Going Hammer

Pantera > Plies

and so the list will continue forever and ever till this stoopid genre of music dies to the fullest ' date=' and with the way it's going it will die pretty fast.[/quote']

Never pictured it that way but it is a great comparison.

Try listening to some Jay-Z, listen to what he's sayin, no not Big Pimpin, but his good stuff, listen to his stories and just get entranced by his flows, trust me, I grew up Metal and blues but I appreciate music for what is is, an expression of ones self. (that is unless you are a commercial sell out)

So you think all the black people that like soulja boy and listen to that crap, will soon turn on to rock and roll? I dont think so, homes.

i really like the old hip-hop and will make the comparison of it being the black man's johnny cash , because they used to tell stories , about struggle and streetlife and growing up, but now it just glorifies selling crack and beating peoples ***** and having big rims.

and by old i mean late 80's to late 90's. and yes jay-z is awesome. but this new **** is just garbage. my fave hiphop album of all time has got to be ready to die. any disputes about that being a classic will get shot down all day. **** was dope back then. today hip-hop is a total FAIL.

Ya that album is definitely on my fav list. Ya, rap these days is mostly trash, only a few good artists around any more. Have you heard Kanye West's new album? Few songs I skip but was actually surprised by it. Reminded me of Jay-Z actually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif who actually makes an appearance

This is gooooooooooodd!! who the **** is thisssss paging me at 546 in the mornin cracka dawnin. wipe the cold out mah eye.... ;]
I was born in 89 so I didn't get turned on to the older rap until I got my license and was driving around all the time. That, with a system, I started to broaden my range. I can say the greatest hits album of biggies has been used since then. You cannot beat his lyrics what so ever.

I was born in 82 so most of this i grew up listening to. pac, biggie, eazy, cube, mack 10,spice 1,krs-one,eric b and rakim, snoop, dre, warren g,bone, and ice-t when he was with bodycount. All killer lyricists when they were in there prime.
