Do you have state inspection? If yes, its a ticket for letting it expire. If no, dont worry about it.

ok, no we dont have it. we have E-check but you cant renew tags without it so its almost impossible not to get it, unless you are driving under expired plates that is

Yes, there is a smog check, but not the wierd inspection thing liek the mid-west has.
