Yep, $40 to check safety and emissions. I actually had to pay more cause my lights that light up my license plate were burnt out.

At least you did not get points, I got a $150 ticket for no inspection sticker and 2 points on my license for 6 years which ended up being about $150-250 each yeah depending on the car I had at the time.

they plug your car into a computer too,at least they did on mine. and they are suppose to check for illegal tint(guy overlooked mine) and if you have wiperblades.

We have emission checks. Once every 2 years; if you miss it or fail 3 times they suspend your license.

That's why I used a family members address and transfered my vehicles over to Va before I had even moved here. That and my insurance dropped over $200/mth.

I pay $78/mth for two late model vehicles now.

The last inspection I had in Philly ran about $80 IIRC for inspection/emissions.
