I do not agree with people who think tipping is mandatory. When I hear people say that it makes me want to leave a tip even less.

10% is the minimum i give unless they do something to piss me off then they get loose change.

I normally tip ~20% unless im eating alone where i tip based on the service

I tip accordingly based on the service that is given.. usually though I leave about 20%. Also, I always give a dollar to the bartender or waitress after every drink ordered.

is people's tiping mentality exclusive to the food/beverage industries? what about your mechanic, or barber...tattoo artist/piercer. they are all services. show them your appreciation for a job well done if it applies.

the lady who cuts my hair takes 15 mins and she charges 13 bucks, and i normally do give her the extra 2 bucks as long as she dont **** it up. If she doesnt get the 2 bucks she knows im not happy
