Alcohol is considered a drug, a legal drug. People are causing so many deaths and accidents due to their habits. People can die from drinking too much.
When was the last time you heard of something ODing on weed. And the # of accidents caused by marijuana

Why should it be legal? The penalties for a small amount are basically nothing as it is, and I think it should stay that way.
If they really cracked down on small amounts, that would be bad. But if they made it totally legal, that would be just as bad. Its fine how it is now, no need to change anything.
Most people have the arguement thats its your own body, and you can do what you want with it. So in that case, shouldnt Meth, cocaine, heroin, etc be legal as well? If I like shooting up in my spare time, who says I cant? If weed is totally legal, why shouldnt any other illegal substance be made legal?
As it is, you cant really get in any trouble for having a little, so why push it? I see only bad things come out of it. If you smoke a little every now and again in your free time, thats fine... Theres nothing bad that could happen except a slap on the wrist from a police officer at worst. But why push things
Alcohol and Tobacco is even worse, and I feel that noone should have to use those products. If they werent so rooted in America as "normal" and "alright", they would most likely be outlawed as well.
Honestly, those should be illegal and weed should be legal, but after this much time of them being legal, and weed being illegal, I dont see it changing. Thats why I have my stance that nothing should change.
