Legal Gun owners

yea, some do, Indiana doesn't. but i suggest that everyone wanting to carry take a defence cource of some kind. it'll be the greatest thing u could do. it could deffently keep u outa jail for doing something stupid.

Make sure you spend a lot of time with your carry gun. I've put about 5 or 6 thousand rounds through my current carry weapon so far. You need to get to the point where you don't even have to think in order to draw your weapon from the holster and put two in the upper chest. Developing that muscle memory takes a lot of time.

People who don't get the proper training and invest the time it takes to become proficient shouldn't carry a weapon. No matter what the law may allow.

In Ohio, we took a 12 hour class and had to pass a range certification that was unbelievably easy. Same thing in NC. Once I had the certificates from the course, I took them to the sherrif's office to file the paperwork and had my carry license within a couple weeks.

Depending on the state you are in, there are a lot of places you can't carry even with a license. The easiest one to get busted on is any place serving alcohol for consumption. If you have a weapon on you, you can be arrested and have your license revoked. Also be sure to find out where you are able to carry the weapon in your vehicle, it varies quite a bit from state to state.

Not to mention that much range time will allow you to find what ammo brand works best with your gun. You don't want to have it jam in a time when you really need it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

no sh**. that would be a bummer. i suggest getting just some basic full metal jacket ammo to start with. its not as expensive as the hollow points. shoot a lot of rounds though whatever firearm u get, make sure u are very farmilar with it, know how to de-****, put the safty on and off without looking at it. if u ever need to use it, u won't have time to look to find the safty. after your good and used to it, find some good quality hollow points at a local gun store, shoot a few of those rounds and use them when u are conceling. it's to expencive to shoot the good rounds all the time.

That's why you should ideally carry a revolver. It will never fail on you. I personally carry a semi auto but it's a good quality brand and I only use good ammo that has never jammed on my. You should practice with your carry gun often, clean it everytime after you shoot it (a dirty gun is a unsafe gun), find the ammo that gun likes and don't be a jackass with it (don't show it off, tell your friends you carry and ect..).

Legal CC users do not support terrorists, we shoot them when they come over.

I don't know much about guns and ammo, but I thought hollow points were illegal in most states? If not all of them? I could be wrong though.
Yeah, you're wrong. I carry Federal Hydrashocks in my smith and wesson and Cor-Bon Pow'r Ball in my springfield. The Pow'r ball is a hollowpoint with a polymer ball in the tip of the bullet to prevent it from plugging as it passes through clothing and helps ensure full expansion.

I practice with winchester white box ammo but I always start and end each range session with the ammo I carry in the weapon. This is especially important if you carry +P or +P+ ammo. I never leave FMJ ammo in my weapons either. If I've made the decision to shoot at someone, I want them stopped, and FMJ won't cut it.

never heard of that. i get em all the time. by the green army box thingys that u can get at the gun shows. after im done shootin all of it, i collect all the brass and reload em. saves a lot of money

and X2 on NEVER telling anyone that u have a gun. thats a big no no. i don't even tell my wife when i'm packing. little word of advice, never hug when you have a firearm. u'll get made every time.

Unless it is a cop during a traffic stop or if they approach you on foot. Say the following "I have a concealed carry permit and I am carrying a concealed weapon." Keep your hands visible and do not move for the weapon unless they ask you to hand it to them, which is their right in many states. They'll typically hang on to it for the duration of the traffic stop and give it back as they allow you to leave.

Do it any other way and you are liable to get shot.

ok, i forgot that. sorry. i was pulled over one time while carriying. told the LOE that i had a firearm on me. all he did was ask where it was, and not to make any sudden moves twards it. allthough it did help that he bowls in the same league i'm on.

my ruger loves the hollow points, i try to go to the range at least once a month and i practice drawing my weapon finger off trigger, loading, reloading, clip inserting and releasing often, it helps out

That's true but semi-auto's can be about as reliable. I had a Norinco 1911A1 that I bought in very used condition and that thing was 100% rock solid. I never cleaned it once and treated it like crap just to see how tough it was. It never once jammed, always fired when I pulled the trigger, and fed perfectly no matter what ammo I used. It was pretty accurate too, or at least more accurate than I am. I sold it to finance moving and still regret it to this day. It would have been pretty big to CCW though.
