Just wondering what was the process u have to go through to legally be able to carry a hand gun? I thought u had to take a gun safety class, but i just googled it and didnt see anything about it. Seems as if they just want money. And of course, u have to meet the requirements. But i saw nothing about taking a firearm class.

Anyone care to help me. I live in TN. I know there are different laws for different states

What happens if you own like 20 guns?

All i had to do is go to the local sherrifs office, get printed and pay 15 bucks. then i a few weeks they mailed me some papers and i mailed that plus 20 buck to the state. they did one more backround check, and i got my CCW papers that was good for 4 years. Now Indiana has a lifetime CCW perit (sp?) If u want a good forum on that type of stuff, go to http://www.sigforum.com . i'm on there a lot. there is a ton of great info on CCW stuff there.

you have to go theough a CCW class, i took my class in one day, then you have visit the sheriffs county office where you fill out info for them to run your background check to see if your eligible to have a CCW license, if so then it will take 3 weeks for the process to complete and your I.D. will be ready for pick up. This info may vary from city to city.

what other state are u wanting to carry in? some states will accept another states carry license.
