Is it too much to ask for some backstory on the SS issues? I like to try to deal with companies based on integrity. I understand this is isn't always easy to do. I try to avoid the noise and get to the facts. These passive aggressive stabs have about the credibility of a highschool cheerleader. Paying company or not, the facts should be out in the open so whatever issues can be faced and overcome.

Meh, Ive spoke to a few people in PMs. This is childish. By what I've gathered in my short time here based on actions on other forums, shit likely gets deleted after it turns to a shitstorm by people that feel it their duty to be activists. Poking in threads and talking shit is *****made. I'm really surprised to see people older than 25 doing this. I guess that is our butthurt society.

I'm in no way defending Ant, there were obvious less than ideal actions taken by him but people hounding him like ex girlfriends really provides no case against him.

There are nice ways to ask for more info, and not so nice ways. Its funny you attack my 'passive aggressive' stabs at Anthony yet you do the exact same thing to me for not providing you, personally, with enough info. All the while nineball also attacks me for saying too much because he's heard it before. Seems to me if anything negative is said against Anthony or SS, some people will search for ways, any ways, to defame the person. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you really wish to learn more, and simply chose a poor way to ask for more information.
Anthony, of Second Skin, has advertised the heavy use of his product on this very forum for years now. Not a problem in and of itself, I have been a user of his products, and an impromptu advertiser of them, him, and his company here for years as well. Then Don (Rudy on this forum), who created the Sound Deadener Showdown, decided to market his own product based on his findings, and made it be known that 100% coverage of the mat does not give the performance gains that have been touted (by myself included I'll be the first to admit), created 'SPL tiles' and let it be known that 25% coverage was plenty to perceive the performance gains most of us are looking for. Using mat in a manner such as 100% coverage mostly only benefits the seller of the mat. One day.... 1 day, after Don (Rudy, SDS) announced his new 'tiles' and the 25% coverage idea, Anthony announced he would also be releasing a 'tile' product, and then Anthony scrambled to actually create said product. Basically, his cat was let out of the bag, and he did his best to minimize Don and SDS's emergence onto the car audio deadening scene, even when at the time Anthony had no product to compete with Don, his tiles, or his 25% coverage data. It took Anthony, and his mat producers, about a month to actually come out with said 'tiles', showing that his decision to announce his own tile product one day after Don's was merely for publicity and an attempt to keep Don from securing any of the market share.

In addition to the above, it has since been made public that Anthony has purchased, and now runs, a well know audio forum that he has said he would police fairly, but in reality has used merely as an advertising tool for Second Skin in less than an ethical manner. Including such tactics as deleting threads/posts saying negative things about his product or company or that say positive things about Don's product/company, has enforced a policy of no advertising Don's company or products in their signatures (while still claiming he runs the 'public' forum in a fair manner) and has even been caught passing out a vb bug/virus to forum members whom were posting information he wished to keep control of. This vb bug makes the user/forum member seem to have comp-uter issues that will no longer allow them to post on said forum, while hiding the fact that they have in fact been victims of the information police keeping them from saying things Anthony did not want said.

These, and a few other issues, have left a bad taste in many people's mouths for Anthony, his products, and his company as a whole. Not to mention his 'fair' message forum.

what rules? you repeating the same things over and over is not the same as someone (me) saying that we have heard it all from you time and time again. i never stated a thing about using ss, sds tiles or any other product. i don't endorse anyone or any product. i have 3 different products in the 3 cars i currently own.

i know you will continue to be a little kid crying out about how evil ss is and how righteous you are. go for it, you have never held back before and i don't expect you will now. it's obvious you have some personal beef with ant/ss and you will never let it die. can't wait to see the post where you say that your dad can beat up his dad.

And clearly we haven't "all" heard it already, as even one person in this very thread asked for more information on the subject. Is there some personal bias on your part that feeds your desire to keep me from stating the facts more than once? In fact, I haven't even commented on this topic in over 2 months, so your "Im tired of hearing it over and over" argument falls on deaf ears to me. Not to mention, as I stated before, you personally being tired of hearing the same info on the subject is hardly grounds for claiming everyone has, and my window of opportunity for talking about it has closed.

Finally, Im not sure why I bother trying to discuss the subject with you, as you clearly feel no need to follow your own rule that once you have made your opinion known, no further follow-up comments should be made. In fact, you failing to grasp your own 'rule' only shows your lack of intelligence, or your bias on the subject. Your attempt to justify side-stepping your own self proclaimed rule only further emphasizes one of these two conditions.

I try to stay out of these conversation since there is no end game for me when dealing with people that have an obvious agenda.

I'd like to say this though many of the things Audioholic has said have a grain of truth to them, and a whole lot of exaggeration.

It is a private forum. Someone pays for the domain, servers, and administrates. A lot of places charge to advertise in sigs. If SDS was denied this option, this is one thing, if they didn't pay that is another. The rest, well shit happens. Being E-activists does nothing to help SDS.

To say I was doing the same thing is incorrect. I clearly stated that I would like facts. I am trying to be impartial as a consumer. It is frustrating seeing noise on forums like this. It would be nice if your story, any additions, and ant could post in a stickied forum and get the shit in the air so everyone could kiss and make up. I understand that wouldnt happen though because on the internet 30 year old men are reduced to a lord of the flies mentality.
