I try to stay out of these conversation since there is no end game for me when dealing with people that have an obvious agenda.I'd like to say this though many of the things Audioholic has said have a grain of truth to them, and a whole lot of exaggeration.

Posting my side of the story in this thread would only encorage more drama that I would have no chance defending against. I have tried, and it doesn't seem to matter.

I find it crazy how Ant can come in with lies and say that others are lying at the same time. If you want people to hear 'your side', why don't you just type it out and keep it handy on a word.doc. I'd surely like to hear it.

I'd like to hear why you would like to the whole DIY forum community about how you wouldn't change diyma into an SS forum (and why you would delete and hide those lies). I'd like to hear why you would invade people's privacy by reading their PMs. Or why you would alter and/or delete posts and threads that mention SDS, even worse, altering posts that have nothing to do with SDS but promotes the 25% coverage technique.

Honestly, I don't care to hear your story/bs. It all boils down to financial gain mixed with some BS. 1:1 ratio. Why else would you promote multi-layer 100% cld coverage?

He didn't put a virus IN people's computers, but used a vB bug (a forum add-on) on certain forum members so they will have an extremely difficult and annoying time navigating around the forum.

It was the data mining that made me sick with him. No selfl respecting forum owner would do that. I'm a big advocate for data privacy.

I am too but when you are on someone else's site, unfortunately they can do what they want. I just assume every forum does it and don't do anything that I don't want anyone to know about. I've encountered issues in the past where staff were reading PMs.

****, these last few pages have opened up my eyes ALOT. The man has obviously made some pretty huge mistakes. What will tell the kind of man he is, is whether or not he will do as Audiohaulic said and meet the situation head on and try to amend the situation.

Of all the subsequent replies so far (no offense to anyone elses replies heh), I find this one the most interesting. Even James Bang can show his willingness to publish the truth. James has been one of the most outspoken people against Ant on these topics, yet takes the time to correct a statement that, intentionally or unintentionally, cast Ant's action in an artificially poor light. Yes it was a poor decision on Ant's part, but its also correct to say it was not a bug put into anyone's computer, merely an add-on to the forum itself. The reason this is worth mentioning is he utilized a tool you only fell victim to if you chose to enter his privately owned site. I will leave the decision as to whether this affects people's judgment of his action up to each individual, but clearing up that fact is important.
I honestly dont believe either side wants to perpetrate false information. So maybe if the discussion is handled in a mature and honest way, on both sides, all (okay, most) of us can come to some sort of understanding of the other side's perspective. Both sides have legit gripes, and both sides deserve to be heard in a fair manner.
