LED's connected to Parallel port?

ok, so, I just found this little circuit in my draw, which has 8 LED's connected to a plug, to connect to the parallel port...

I made this probably 3 or 4 years ago, so, the question is, what software do I need to run it?

I recall you being able to program how the lights would flash, strobe, scan, etc.

Uh, you made it. Didn't you write a program for it? You would have to program a device driver for it to turn on each LED at a trigger, and then a program to control the LED's from there.

there was already a program that did it, I got the program from the same webpage as the circuit diagram, but I have no idea where that was now...

cheers, I was also kinda looking for the original webpage, as it has a circuit to drive like 64 LEDs from the parallel port, and do cool patterns... hmm

Well I found that by searching for "LED Parallel port circuit" in a search engine. Maybe u will find the original.
