Well, I just bought a set of Eurolite 12" led tubes off ebay (good deal too)

But all it came with was mounting hardware.. I'm not exactly sure where I'm supposed to wire this to. Any ideas?

Also, I want to try and rig up a button/switch.. It'll get extremely annoying trying to reach under my seats to press this button every time I pass a cop

you can do many diffrent things man. here's some options get a remote box control your neons by remote that's how i got mine ran. cut off the cig lighter adapter run the wires your power and ground to a switch or you can tie em all into each other either way works man.

Well the packaging says the white wire is for power and the black is for ground. Simple enough... but the wires are both the same.

If you will look closely at the wires coming off of the end of that light tube you'll find that one side or the other has a white stripe running down the side of the insulation.

This will be your positive (+) side and gets connected to 12v power.

The other side, naturally, will be your ground.

Bingo Bango. it works
Cool. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif

The reason I knew was due to the neons and whatnot I have in my own car.

They are from differing manufacturers but each one of them was wired the same.

As I recall a couple of them came with instructions directing me where to connect the red wire and the black wire (which maddeningly didn't exist - the same as in your case) and the way I found out was when I clipped off the lighter socket plug I took said plug apart to see which wire went to the fuse and which wire went to ground.

On all of them it was the same - the side with the stripe is the hot side. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So you just spliced into your lighter? I may end up doing that. Though I'm going to need a switch..And have to figure out a way to get it there without dragging wire everywhere.
