Leaving amp connections disconnected

I installed my amp kit this weekend but I don't have my amp yet. I figued that if I got the wiring out of the way it would make things that much easier when I do get it. But I need to know if it's ok to have everything (almost) hooked up. Here's what I've done.

1. Ran the power cable next to the battery (not connected) with electrical tape on both ends.

2. Connected the blue amp "power on" wire my HU, the other end has electrical tape

3. Connected the sub RCA's to my HU

4. Connected the GROUND to a bolt.

I took everyones advice and ran both power cables on one side of my truck and the RCA's on the other side.

Yeah, you'll be fine. I dont have my amp hooked up right now, but I just put electrical tape around the power cable and its fine. I didnt even disconnect it from the battery

dont let the 2 ends on the RCA touch or hit ground

don't worry, you should be fine, especially with the ends of all wire taped off, I did all my wiring (just like you did) before my install and nothing happened
