Leaking Trunk

Hello! I have a 1998 Dodge Neon R/T that would get soaking wet after hard rains. I did some reasearch and found that it could very well be water comming from behind the tail lights. Being that my car is older and the rubber behind the tails were warn, I figured this was the problem. I replaced my tail lights and rubber backings. That fixed the problem for the most part, except for a couple drips.

I also have a 2003 Dodge Neon SXT with the same problem. Only this time, it's not comming from behind the tail lights. Does ANYONE know where the leak might be comming from and what is the best way of going about fixing it?

Didn't really want to do that, but looks like I'm going to have to. Actually, on my SXT, it only gets wet in the very bottom, under my spare tire.

just replace all the stripping. doesn't cost much. Also, if you have a spoiler, check around that.

just take some caulking ond caulk around your trunk like you wood a window.

Or take off your current stuff, squirt silicone inside and replace...and then silicone all around. To test if its coming from there...line the bottom of the trunk with newspaper, close the trunk, and give it hell with a hose. Then open and check.

My Acura had the same thing. First it was around the weatherstripping and then other instance was actually cause by the body shop that repainted my car. They actually clouged a drain for my sunroof and it overflowed into my trunk. SAME thing happened with my power antenna drain. Check both.
