Ya I remember the trick was leaving the subs unhooked then hooking them up once the amp turns on...tricks the ohm load...but I have no real use for it

yea, using a switch of some kind. It's to trick the protection circuit actually, delay it so it doesn't kick in.

read the posts above. I've heard ppl getting up to 3x the power on them. However, they can get hot real quick. You may be safe by just leaving the gain low and getting 1200watts out of them
