what would be a good size setup to run off stock electrical? and by good size i mean close to max

my stock alt is 130 amp (00 exlorer 5.0) and a decent battery up front. I have big 3 done in 1/0 and 1/0 power wire going to the back btw

was thinking a 4 channel amp and a mono amp for subs

50 watts rms x 4 speaker (coax speakers because im not ready to drill any holes and what not

and maybe 500 watts rms to two 12s?

can i queeze anything more out of the substage? as long long as i watch my volts and take it easy and dont bump to hard all the time?

alright... so lets just take half of your alt amps away for simplicity of running your car.

so 65 amps. thats about 1000 watts at 14.4 v (roughly)

however, music is dynamic and every changing, you wont be pulling 1000 watts continually. impedence changes, so does amps drawn.

also depends on the impedence of sub amp you run.

i run at 2 ohm, so my frquency is a good 20%+ better than 1ohm or lower.

if you run two D2 subs at 2 ohm, you can safely runn 1000 watts along with your 500 speaker amps.

i was running 2 aq1200ds, and a us acoustics usx 600f.

so roughly 3k...all i have is big 3, 90 amp alt, and two 70 amp AGM batts.

i wouldnt play full tilt, or ever 75% and my voltage never went under 13...

well you cant run two D2 subs at 4 ohms sir. each sub can be wired to either 4 ohms, or 1 ohm. and then when you ad them together, you can either do 8ohm, 2 ohm, or .5 ohm.

and yea, 1000 rms with your 200 watts to speakers. youll be way more than fine.

if you use efficient amps.

shlt i knew that idk what im thinking.. two d4 subs to 4 ohm..

the aq1200ds i use are 84% efficient at 4 ohms, they work great.

but if your trying to get 1k at 4 ohms, your going to need a big beefy two channel to bridge to get that power.

rarely do sub amp monos do 1k at 4 ohms.

personally i would get a nice batt for the back, and run around 2krms for the substage...
i really dont want to spend bunches of money on a nice alt and a bat or two, i have the 2krms sub, amp wire and box but im going to sell some stuff off and down size until i save up enough for a new alt then a batt then then upgrade the substage later

it doesnt cost as much as you think. just a small battery will suffice. you'll need a H/O alt if you see bad voltage drops
