need a biiger box, hopefully gonna get one this coming friday.and, i think i needa return this amp cuz i can hear the fan turn on everytime i power it up.could it be because of where i mounted it?

your supposed to hear it. barely.

its internally fan cooled. my USX does the same. its a good thing.

you shouldnt be worried about that.

i like the amps. subs need a bigger box, ported.

Id get it above that rubber mat for sure,then place about 4-5 washers under each leg to get it off the surface to get a bit more air circulation,and maybe it will run cooler,and keep the fan/cooling operation down a bit.Amps laying flat get pretty warm/hot,and if you can get raised off of the surface,to get some air circulation,it helps a BUNCH!! All opinionated/experienced of course/recommend

yes i agree ported is the way to go! and as for the fan its pretty loud, cant really hear it in the vid. but its loud enough for me to hear with me sitting in the drivers seat.and also i was thinking of moving the amp further up a bit, and thanks i hadnt thought of washers.although i really want to move my amp to another location, because i have a feeling that when my bass is hitting its shaking the crap outta my amp.i think thats why i can hear the fan . i dont really know where else i can mount it. before i had it under the seat and it was going into therm.protect cuz air wasnt circulating.now i moved it up there and now i can hear that fan.any suggestions?also i dont have much 0 guage thats basically up to where it reaches.

That amp under warranty??If so send it back,and try to get another ..Ill Bet that that fan has came off/ or is not stable, and moved do to vibration, so its not laying flat any more,and turning/against the face/wire inside??How about moving your box a little bit up away from the amps as well??Fan is prob not sitting in its original location inside of the amp,and is hitting against something??Dont break the seal on it,and ruin the warranty.You will need existing box/all paper wk,ect. As the amp came to retrieve warranty at most places/All original

here we go

and i used 4 guage plastic cut into little pieces for te washers.also moved the amp up a little.

and yea i have warranty but not from the manufacturer, from techronics from ebay, so i'l most likely get a refund or something.dont really wanna go thru the hassel of shipping and waiting, but if it gets worse i will. although i never have the box touching the back seat, i have a pair of jumper cables in the back of the box to prevent it from hitting the amp.

Most amps heat sinks are designed to let heat dissipate best when the amps are laying flat I'm pretty sure. This came up when ppl were asking about if you could put them upside down. Could be a possibility too. You shouldnt have vibration problems with it mounted to your seat as long as the sub box isnt directly pushed back on it.

View attachment 26528167That is going to help out right there for heat,,,,,Well, if you dont want go through the bs, you can open it up if you want, I am sure the fan just moved inside,wouldnt take much to place it back.seems they wedge in between these like bendable thin metal post,kinda like snap in kinda thing,in the pic between the coils/copper.. or it could be a loose screw/fallen out, that could be the issue also for that fan..got to be simple though:idea: i know it gets frustrating listening to it,and you ususally turn the volume up ....Lol:violent:
