large 4 channel or new sub amp?

well my jbl mids took a dump. now i have 6" seleniums. they are not as loud as the jbl 5's?? im pretty sure power is the issue. i have the seleniums running off a 4 channel that is bridged should be seeing about 130 watts per speaker but its not as loud as it was and they are getting hot which leads me to believe this amp is clipping. I'm thinking of getting a new sub amp and swapping my current sub amp over to midrange duty. it does 300+x2@4ohms , 400+x2@2ohms but has a regulated power supply so i figure it'll send 200+ to each mid. What do you think and also what are some nice sub amps i should consider? BTW , i have a 4 or 1 ohm load from the subs and need around 1KW. remember i'm not rich so good clean budget minded amps are key here. Thanks.

So i feel like a complete *******. Wired out of phase and forgot to screw the door panel into place to make it somewhat airtight again. Sounds pretty good crossed 63HZ-4KHZ with 24/DB slopes. I actually have some kick up front. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
