laptop problems

the first problem im having is with an acer laptop. i charged it up last night. and a few minutes ago, i turned it on without the charger, and it shows a full battery for about 5 minutes and then the battery level goes down to like 1%. will i need to replace the battery? the model of the laptop is an Aspire 4315.

now, on another laptop, in order for it to work, i have to tilt the charger a little bit where it plugs into the laptop. what would be the problem here? the charger or the charging port? the model of this is compaq c500.

Sounds like your battery quit holding a charge, replace it.

The other sounds like a bad connection.
