Lanzar VIBE286 decent amp?

I understand that it's a cheap amp but is it decent? I'm wanting to run it at 4ohm's and stats for amp say that it can put out 2X 1000 at 4o RMS. I really only need about 1500 watts but this would be a nice buffer if I ever upgraded and it wouldn't be straining the amp.

i had a 248 that i purchased in 2003 and used every day for 2 years that is now in my neighbors car

so i take it that they are ok then,I heard that those Vibe 1200d s(the black ones) are pretty good amps...what do you think or know?
