Lanzar Vibe 286 ?

This amp is a 2 channel and im going to use it for one mtx 9512. Is this amp 2 ohm stable at one channel? Also, will it be too much wattage for the 9512?

no and no.

the amp is super overrated and class AB and a 2 channel. you will only be safe running it at 4ohm bridged. if you have dual voice coil (usually 4 ohms) on the 9500 you will only be able to run it at 2 ohms and 8 ohms (unless you install it wrong)

so you need to get a 2 ohm amp that puts out about 1500 watts RMS (not max) - and that is not a lie. look into the memphis 1500d. they put out 1500 at 2 ohms (not stable at 1 ohm).

anything that lanzar sells that does not have optidrive\opti in the name is junk. and imo - the only thing that is not junk out of the opti series is the opt2000d, 4000d, and 7000d or whatever the three biggest ones are.

you will need to spend like 250 on an amp AT LEAST to get over 1300 at 1 ohm, you will be hard pressed to find that kind of wattage at 2 ohm at that price point.

no.

if you have two 4 ohm coils - that means you have to USE BOTH coils when using the speaker. if you use ONE coil - then you risk damaging it.

so you need to hook them together. in series or parallel. series will give you 8 ohms, and way less power. and parallel will give you 2 ohms and blow the amp up.

take your pick. the amp will not work if it is a two channel, four channel, basically anything but a mono amp UNLESS you bridge a 2 channel amp AT 8 OHMS by wiring the speaker coils in series.

bridged at 8 ohms will work fine until you can afford an amp better suited to the job. You'll get around 600w rms out of the amp which should be more than enough to get that sub sounding pretty good.

If i bridged it, would it work. On the website, they claim that Bridged 2 x 1650W at 2 OHMS RMS

So im only using it on one speaker. What's the prob. with that; could it work? NO, it cannot i found out that it would then be wired to 1 ohm .
