Lanzar quality?

What's up fellas, I'm new to the forum, and have been out of the sound system game for about 10-15 years now!

I'm looking to upgrade my stock sounds in my 06 durango, I don't want to go too big with sounds, but something with a little bit more bump!

I was looking at some newer lanzar 10's or some new soundstream 10's but I'm not sure on the quality of their product these days. I know back in the 90's they were pretty good subs.

Any feed back or input good or bad would be great!

I don't want to spend loot on something that's gonna sound like garbage!

If u want to go with lanzar go with the opti series.

Everything else is pretty much trash.

from my experience lanzar and quality never go together. second poster says the opti is the decent product line from them - lanzar opti amps i agree.. subs not for me

Not true at all the dct, max, and max pro lines are decent so are the vibe amps

They are good budget subs. I haven't seen any complaints on em.Good luck

Lanzar in the 90's was Zed made amps and Credence built speakers (all made in USA). Today Lanzar is dubious quality Chinese made. Apart from the Lanzar dealer, so far nobody is saying great things about them. That isn't to say they don't put their name brand on a few decent items, as I expect they do, but that's not where I'd be shopping if I didn't see some testing from a few reliable non-biased sources. Soundstream is almost without exception very low end Chinese junk.

In fact for the most part just about every brand you remember from the late 90's will now be low end Chinese made junk if the brand name even still exists.

Perhaps if you told the group a little more about your budget and goals you would get some more specific suggestions.

I'll pass on just about all of it!

I will give those soundqubed 10s a try soon, but I did just find some old kicker comp 12s at my parents house that I had also from the 90s anyone have specs on any of them?

Now as for an amp? I'm pretty much clueless right now,and my budget right now is 500 max, witch is good I guess, because as of right now, I don't have to buy subs! I'll just abuse them kicker comps for now!
