i am wrong about the basket being plastic, it was metal with a plastic coating lol. I noticed it was metal when it was too cold to the touch, lol. Man, they really made these things light. The basket only looks like plastic but is in fact metal. The only reason why i said it was plastic was because these subwoofers were extremely light when i first picked them up with little to no effort. My b-52 weighs heavier than the 2 Lanzar Max12's combined.

is a light sub a good thing? news to me

well, in my horribly made Isobaric box they sounded pretty descent. But then again, I made the box so it was like, yeah, sending off different frequencies everywhere, lol.

But in my bandpass, THESE THINGS CAN BOOM LIKE NO OTHER! my car was shaking like crazy and i couldn't even hear myself scream out "COOL!" The bass was too overwhelming that I couldn't hear the music nor the lyrics! These babies are a fantastic buy!

Make a BIG note for yourselves people, do not bother making an isobaric box. It is not only time consuming but it a HUGE maistake on my part.

NEVER EVER MAKE AN ISOBARIC.

sounds like you need some better speaks if you cant hear the music or the words, but im glad those worked out for you, how much again?

my 6X9's are actually one of the best stock speakers made. It's just that the bass is WAY too overwhelming, lol

They looked way smaller in these pics.. the surround looks smaller as well. however, their f**n HUGE !

I put them in a Sealed enclosure I built for SPL. Custom Sounds in san antonio TX , peg'd me at 149db's at front seat.

Im Considering trashing the box, buying some of the MX round subs, and build a quad box to hold them all !

- IVE HAMMERED THESE SUBS at 1000WATTS , their excursion is more then L7. These things have phat foam , and they move.

however..

Now ! I am going to get a new set of subs..

So im going to sell them.. I sell lanzar, and wanted to test these out .. so I will stock on these for customers.

But , I have a custom box, and these subs to match. I felted the box black .. its rock solid, air tight..

If anyone is interested .. Ill sell them 200$ shipped.

You go find 2 brand new used for 2 weeks l7's in a custom design enclosure for 200$ shipped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

When these hit 149dbs , their not L7's , they look BAD ASSS in the box I made... and L7's hit a bit harder .. but you might get 1 L7 in a box, for 200$ used... ((or chanced at a broke one on ebay for less)) .

all I will say.. Lanzar or not ! People dont know what they are, untill they ask me to open my trunk, because they heard me blocks away.

are you sure the frame is made of plastic? i dont think even the cheapest subs have plastic holding them together, it might be metal coated with som kina plastic. just nitpicking, hope they work out for you, how much did you pay if i may ask?

i know one of the subs that blaupunkt makes has a plastic basket....wouldnt by it tho..............

i have never seen a sub with a plastic basket, i think it would either shatter or even worse warp unless it's a type of ABS plastic.

I got my L7 15' FOR 178$ NIB from authorized dealer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif And I HIGHLY doubt those will hit 149's.. But, I would be suprised by some miraculous(sp?) reason they did.
