well, anyone here know about these?

i just ordered these subwoofers no more than 5 minutes ago, i'll post a review and some pics. I learned that Lanzar are one of the old school subwoofer manufacturers and are well known in competitions. Plus there new OptiDrive subwoofers are insane. I heard that Lanzar are in the same level with EarthQuake and are major competitors. Both are well known manufacturures but lack in the advertising department but excel in the quality of their products.

Who told you that? The old school Lanzar was good (back when the Opti's were Zed Audio built), but I wouldn't exactly call most of the new Lanzar stuff "quality", and definitely wouldn't say the "excel" in that department. They are pretty much an all out budget brand now. I kinda consider them to be the higher end of the low end.

Regardless, let us know what you think of the subs.

holy shit, i like put these in my box and these subs are LOUD. and by loud i mean peopole at the parking lot were turning heads. I'll post a pic tonight of the box, the paperwork, and the woofers. The frame is made of plastic but doesn;t seem to really affect it by that much. These subwoofers because of there design are remarkable light. Compared to my B-52's they are like a feather weight.

i hope you guys enjoy these images as it's 1:30 AM here lol. I'll hit up a more in depth review tomorrow morning. Think of it as a Thanksgiving treat.

are you sure the frame is made of plastic? i dont think even the cheapest subs have plastic holding them together, it might be metal coated with som kina plastic. just nitpicking, hope they work out for you, how much did you pay if i may ask?

there is 3 types of baskets *that i'm aware of*. 1 stamped steel..... 2 cast alluminum and 3 polyresin. polyresin never caught on, and the only company that i know of that used them was "quadrasub" which happens to be out of business now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

i dont think the baskets had anything to do with that though.

i am wrong about the basket being plastic, it was metal with a plastic coating lol. I noticed it was metal when it was too cold to the touch, lol. Man, they really made these things light. The basket only looks like plastic but is in fact metal. The only reason why i said it was plastic was because these subwoofers were extremely light when i first picked them up with little to no effort. My b-52 weighs heavier than the 2 Lanzar Max12's combined.
