RCA to head phone jack

you need an input on your head unit tho

it depends on what type of connections ur trying to switch from ur laptop to ur HU, like are u trying to use the S-video connection, the VGA to RCA, or if u even just have a Video out on the laptop.

im not quite sure i just got the lab top today its just a cheap one but i dont have to deck yet so im trying to find one it will work with i just want it to listen to music off my lab top through my system does any one know of a deck that has what i need + 3 preouts thats about all i need

oh nvm, I had the thoguht u wanted to use ur laptop with a LCD on the car (carputer style) U can do what was suggest ealier, using a headphone jack to RCA, than wiring that to the AUX input that most headunits have on the back. Or u can pickup head units that have the Aux input that has the 3.5mm (headphone port) and get a stright 3.5mm cable from ur laptop to ur Hu. Just go look for a HU and post the link and I'll see if it should work for what u need

rear mini-jack auxiliary input (a second 2nd input is optional with an adapter)

so yes that unit will work

so yea that would work, it doesnt say if its RCA or 3.5mm but Im pretty sure it's RCA. So u need to pick up a cable like this

Than plug the RCA's to the Aux input on the back of the HU than wire it somewhere so u can hook up ur laptop's speaker out

or u might have to get the

if its a 3.5 mm plug in the back
