I know they recommend Vented or ported boxes for the Kicker L7's, Do you guys know what happend If I made a sealed box and used it instead of a ported one. Thx KC

L7's are meant to be ran in a ported box for the best output. Do the sub and yourself a favor, and port it

I drive a hatch back I have minimal space thats why i wanted a small sealed box.

arg....would totally recomend not sealing them up. My opinion they don't sound as good. Go ported! U need too!

How many are you going to be running, and do you have them yet? If you're planning to run 2 sealed, you can probably get similar ouput and save a lot of money just running one in a proper ported enclosure.

I agree with everyone who commented above.

I had two 12" L7's in a 2 cubic foot sealed box and I thought they sounded good.

After reading about how much better they could sound in a ported box I had Moe Lester design one for me. What a difference!

It really, really brought them to life. They get much louder, hit harder and I even think the SQ is better.

I have even less space than you, I have an AWD Talon, the AWD's have a higher floor in the rear to make space for the rear diff. One of my friends has a GST (FWD) and fit a ported 15" L5 in it with no problems and **** was it loud.

It will have to be either at an angle like this |-\ or facing up since there is only 14 inches or so of clearance up and down.

the bigger the box the better if you can go up to 5 cubes 2 12 l7s or even l5s would be awesome as well

Wouldn't a ported 15 be louder? Than 2 10s ported? I also want it to play pretty low. Plus, the size of the 15 would just look so sweet in my car lol
