I read online that the 2 Ohm version should be 31 Hz, and 4 Ohm should be 34 Hz...

According to the manual for that sub it doesn't matter if it's a 2 ohm or 4 ohm version. Just build your enclosure according to the specs listed in the owners manual for you sub. The 12" model should be tuned around 30-34 Hz, it's not going to hurt the sub to tune it around 30 Hz but it'll be most efficient at 34 Hz.

you can do anywhere between 32-40HZ, and be fine. 38HZ seems to do pretty well.
i would do somewhere 34-36
