I read online that the 2 Ohm version should be 31 Hz, and 4 Ohm should be 34 Hz...

According to the manual for that sub it doesn't matter if it's a 2 ohm or 4 ohm version. Just build your enclosure according to the specs listed in the owners manual for you sub. The 12" model should be tuned around 30-34 Hz, it's not going to hurt the sub to tune it around 30 Hz but it'll be most efficient at 34 Hz.

I just put mine in yesterday! the box was tuned to 32 hz with 5.12^3 with 71.5^2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif and it sounds nice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

you can do anywhere between 32-40HZ, and be fine. 38HZ seems to do pretty well.
