Netherland, if you actually have the stuff you claim to have in your signature, and if it works properly, you don't need to waste $500 on subs. Use the Type-Rs.

Comparing L7s to MTX 9500s or even SX's is not quite fair. They both cost at least double the price of one L7. If money isn't an issue, get two 9500's. If you can find them for $250 each shipped new , let me know though (think you said you had a $500 budget for subs).

trust me in the rite box the solox would spank it. for that application it was .9. thats like sayin a w7 vs MT. MT by .9 and everyone knows the MT would spank it in spl. im juss sayin the setups ive been around from wha i have seen and heard, which is alot, they juss arent good for the money.
How bout the jackhammer vs the solo x. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

if we go off retail, that'd be what, 10 Solo X's against one jackhammer... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow i want one lol but thats just for SPL extreme. i think 2 15 kickers L7's hooked up to a kicker 1200.1 each would be great. one amp per sub
or just get a KX25001 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I saw with my own eyes this weekend, 2 12" type R's hit 154.2, so take that as you wish...with 1 Orion 2500D.

The MTX 9500 as of 2 months ago had only had 2 SPEAKERS!!! returned for a blow voice coil in a proper setup!. Compare the specs to the W7 which nobody can argue...is an excellent speaker. The specs are almost the same man.

SPL, Id go like 1 15" sx, or 2 12's. Even with 2 your gonna spend less that the 9500 12", unless your getting at cost.

i really doubt that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yes the type rs will handle 3k. done properly. i kno they arent in the same leage, yea rite. 9500s are garbage 2 me. i'd take l7s over the 9500s anyday. they are a waste of money imo.

Well folks........looks like we have an MTX hating, Alpine loving label queen on our hands.

Why hate on MTX man?? If you want to run Alpine in your vehicle thats fine and dandy but don't put Type R's in the same category as the 9500. You can talk all that shit you want but we all know they are NOT in the same league. A type X and a 9500 are close to each other but the type Rs are NOT.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

actually a type X isnt either.

Cause Last show i was at the alpine rep told me the R's are ouder, lol

they made the X handle power. but its more of an SQ sub then an SQL sub

Wow, owning 2 of them, that would have been my absolute LAST choice. Dude, look at the excursion on those other 3 subs, like 3", 2", 1.25".....now look at your L7 .75!! Im not sure what your going for, but you listed the 9500's and went with L7's because....? Im going to hope financial reasons. I hope you got, get a good deal on them

i did it cause the accomidations Circuit city has with MTX over the 9500 series expired so i couldnt get it cheap any more. and i got a great deal on L7's with my rep.
