there not exactly sq monsters but they sound more than ok in the proper box. and the original poster says that he doesnt need so much sq.

Hey...i have a single 12" 06 L7, in a 2.5 cube ported box in a s-10 extended cab with 700 RMS and it is VERY LOUD.....for a single 12. The guys are right...there not SQ subs but do not sound bad by any means. my single 12 flexes my back window bad and am very happy with it. there cheap loud subs for SPL....hope this helps

this is really a price question...the question is that if you got the money, ofcourse go for the L7....

type r = $120 shipped

L7 = $190 shipped

x2 = $240 vs. $380

thats a good amount difference...if you GOT the money, go for the L7's, i don't think anyone would disagree that the L7's will win in spl...

if you ONLY got $240 instead of $380, the type R's would be a EXCELLENT choice and you wouldn't regret it...but if you got the extra couple of dollars to spend and you DON'T CARE, then hell man, why not do the L7's????

in my opinion, i don't think the incremental benefits of the L7 over the Type R's is not worth the $140 extra because the type R's will do a good job pounding your brains out already...thats probably because i'm a poor college student tho...

well u can cut the wholes out to make them square i am sure but besides that the point is they wont fit in there... the box is too shallow

L7's.

both are very mainstream and i get sick of reading about the type arghs.

and i used to own a pair of L7's and they got effing loud even in a prefab slot vented enclosure (that was way too small) and feeding ~700rms to each. the lows were just nasty. i love when the bass distorts your voice while trying to yell at a friend. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
