ive had a good amount of experience with both. im running 1 12'' type r as of now and a good friend of mine has a 1 15'' L7 (taurus+L7=goosh) and the L7 destroys the type R in spl, no comparison. sq id have to give to the type R, the L7 bangs out some nasty lows but the type R has a MUCH better upper end extension. you can PM me with any other questions you have if you want to

#1 thats not ported, so you wont get as much output from l7's or type R's as you could get. Then again you have a single cab, so theres not much else you can go for.

Is building the box yourself / paying someone local an option?

mounting depth = important spec.
