L7 question

I need the help of all of you experts out there....I was planning on buying this old school L7 from a guy for 100 bux with an amp but for some reason the speaker looks sorta fake to me or it could just be old...I'll let yall be the judge.....

are they any good though..I currently have 1 dual 2 12''inch kicker cvr and damm that thing bangs so my question is will this sub sound louder or just about the same?

the level of "bang" will depend greatly on install and power, I cannot answer that question due to not knowing the size of the sub and the power your working with

I would not buy it. It wouldn't be much of an upgrade, so you'de be wasting your money IMO.

the L7 is a 15'' and believe it or not I'm using an old school (dont laugh) 1400 pyramid amp to push the 12'' cvr now...and its doing the job so far so....should I keep looking for a newer L5 or L7

Yep. Being that it is so old, and the fact you will have no warranty. I'de skip it. But it's your money.

Don't knock the cheap stuff. Still have, and is being used, a Legacy LA1990 amp. Had it for 3 years. And it's still in my Infiniti M30...

if you lok around you can find new L5s for $150 which would be similar build but NEW and with kicker's warranty (pretty darn good in my expirience, no hassel replacement)

I agree on saving a bit more and finding a good price on a new sub.

Kicker's among the few brands who really seem to take pride in improving their product every year, and you'll only benefit from something newer.

when deciding on a sub(s), think about how much trunk space your working with, how big the box will be, your budget, what you're aiming for (sound quality, spl, etc), and whatnot.
