L7 or MTX 9500 12

i looked at one of these today, i thought it was ugly, i am not a fan on the 6000 or 8000 series either. im currently on the market for a L7. I really like the sound of this sub when paired with JBL components. ( friend and i have same car almost same system minus diff head units) but my question is.... My freind is running a L7 sealed in his 92 accord 4 door, i own a 90 accord 4 door. the amp hes using is a 801d mtx amp. It hits real hard with this amp and i would like to use the same amp. what im wondering is will this "ugly mtx sub" sound better and is it work the extra money?

L7 - 189.99 local sound shop

Mtx 9500 12" - 399.99 at local sound shop

ive seen both for less on ebay but im kinda weary about ebay, and know that the 9500 is a realitivly new sub. please give me the ups and downs of which i should get and why.

Id go with the kicker in a ported box... the 9500 is great n all but the price and the amount of power it's asking for.

RMS on the 12" 9500 is 1000, on the L712 it's 750. Doesn't mean that you need to send the 9500 1000 watts.

So all I recommend is kicker huh? I guess you don't read the threads when I say JL, or Eclipse. Oh and I thought he was asking about kicker,hmmm. Is this some kind of jealousy issue or something? Why don't you just get over it. Oh by the way I think MTX subs **** so I guess I should have told him to get bazooka or something that sounds better than MTX. Do I go off on everyone that says "dude get re or magnums", no cause I am letting them voice their opinions unlike idiots like you. And by the way I AM sick of people saying kickers don't sound good, its cause of morons like you that think they can put one in a 4 cubic foot box and then wonders why they sound muddy. The bottom line is, the REASON I say KICKER is because of the COST versus performance ratio. As you may have missed the post for rangerman; he asked "why kicker"? And as I said then I considered kickers older stuff "shit" but since they realized they're not going to make it with just "ok" sq they decided to get their act together, which they've done.
