L7 and JBL 1200.1 amp

I've heard alot of good reviews about these subs and alot of bad ones too..people keep telling me to go this way and that way, so i cant make up my mind...so would two 12" L7's ina proper box with a JBL 1200.1 amp sound good with a LOT of bass? Im not really into SQ as long as the bass sounds clean...if you think this isn't a good set up what would be? price range is like 600bucks because i can get the whole set up above for that price. Aslo going into a 92-95 Hatchback or 88-90 CRX...thanx for the help

My friend has two L7's and the 1200.1 amp wired at 2 ohm's in his 93 Impala

Sounds awesome

Make sure you have the right box

He went through 2 of them

Also it is very important to use a ported box

I designed this system for him and it works well

We still can't raise the gain too high because it will blow the subs.

For the 12's I would say they would need at least 2.5+ cubes ported, 4 each would be really good and would also give you good sound quality even with a ported box and those subs. They love really big boxes.

how do you tune a box around 33hz? also do you know were i can get a external Subsonic filter because the JBL doens't have one...aslo will i need to get a new batt and alt?
