i have 2 L715's i put them in last wed. and i am still breaking them, but when i have my 2500.1 turned up not even half way, and i play a half song and it seems like the voice coils heat up way too quick, anyone have any ideas? i mean it sounds good, but i want something that i can that loud all the time and not have to turn down to cool down, thinking about running 18's...i dk what do you guys think..???

they should be fine, maybe you are doing something wrong. trust me keep the subs and you will love them, as long as they are in a big enclosure, you will love them. huge sound

you know how the L7's give off that smell, like a burnt smell, maybe its just me, but i know what a blown L7 smells like, i know they aint blown but it kinda gives off that smell. idk...

make sure ur amp is setttings are right. Ive blown 2 L7 15 before and that was one of the problems. I got the same set up u do, 2 15's L7's and an orion 2500, and it slaps! just avoid turning the bass knob more then half way up. ....and yeah if the center of the cone is gettin hot u, u have something to worry about. How many ohms are u running

it's just excess glue burning off. i know the smell, and it's normal. mine made it too. but after a while itll stop.
