experience, experience, experience, hands on is 85% of the game. I would know..because a lot of what I do is read, and all that I remember how to DOOOO is from DOING IT! hence why I am trying to get more experience. You can read all you want, but until you try what your reading, your not going to understand it...Id prefer to do it, THEN read about it so I know WHY this is doing that, and why "this" works the way it does. At least thats how I learn the best.

Way off.....experience is reinforcement for what you READ. You not going to tackle a job without knowing how to do it, are ya? Read first, then tackle the job. Learn from your mistakes. Get BETTER.....

Right....I prefer hands on just like you do. But you must understand, the best way to learn something WELL is to apply all three of the things you listed:
A teacher lectures and you LISTEN

You go home and READ the material pertinent to the subject

You then APPLY what you have listened and read with a test, hands on or not.
