L.E.D Question.

I just built an amp rack with 1 strip of 8 Led bulbs, and another set of 12 Leds

I have 2 Questions. I know the basis of wiring but i want to know for sure,

Will leds get hot enough to burn wood?

And I have the 2 strips wired together, but i want the rack to Light up when i turn the key. So would it be safe to run the Pos(+) to the remote wire on the amp, and the Neg(-) to the Ground wire and/or ground it to the body?

Any help would be appreciated.

LEDs emit almost 0 heat... use a relay switched by the remote wire to turn them on

You need the relay because the remote wire doesn't have enough power to drive more than a few amplifiers.
