are the rear outputs usually lower voltage than the fronts? (kenwood kdc mpv 619)

cuz i hooked up my sub to the front (i know, im messy but i had just about enogh of the install and just hooked things fast) and had a nice loud bump... later on i realized my mistake and switched my speaker amp to the front and sub amp to back... but it just isnt as loud as before.

peace

my kenwood excelon(x759) has 3 4.5 v preouts. If anything the front and rear will be a lower voltage than the non-fading, but i've never seen a HU that has a lower rear than front or lower front than rear.

well, there's a difference between rated and/or peak voltage and RMS voltage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

there isnt a perfect number...

set your gains the way it has been described many many times before...

it will be very low...

set your headunit to a loud listening volume, turn gains all the way to zero, now slowly turn them up until you hear distortion, then back it off till the distortion is gone again...

basically...
