Konaki's arrive..

how are you guys measuring the FS?what are you using? the 1508 has a much lower FS than 54hz I am positive... to measure FS you need very controlled conditions.

re you using 1/2 surround 1/4? what was the MMS and CMS? john over at acoustic elegance can tell you any slight pressure change temp change can throw FS off.. seconrd unless your using dumax or similar i'm pretty sure its wrong..

Saw these for the first time yesterday at one of those Liquidation Expos. The guy selling them says he's the only dealer for these subs and sells them for 7elephant.

He also swore that they would out pound a Kicker L7, doubtful. The cones on these things are TIGHT... meaning I could barely push in on it. Definately want to hear how these perform and how long they last.

Still really lookn forward to how this video is gonna be and if these are really good as a DD sub. granted copper coil nice feature but do they still have the capability to hold the power going to em hmm guess we'll have to see haha.

FYI, the PE Woofer Tester II got me same Fs for the 15" SI Mag as specified by the build house -- I'd say it's pretty close. It measures within 2-3 Hz each time in my un-controlled environment. If you want to be dead-on, though, it does take a controlled environment as John states.

I also got the DD 9510 pretty well dead-on to it's spec.

DD uses a copper coil too, FYI.

The other thread has more conclusions.

1) DD has two extra cooling features

2) DD has much better build quality

So... DD will handle more power and be louder, but these will do really well with proper precautionary measures (adding alot of epoxy) -- especially for the cheap price.

I posted some results already in the other thread... burped with over 3kw no problems after glue re-inforcement... but the inner spider roll inversion issue makes them sound terrible, makes a loud "WACKING" sound.

I'll test em' with more power later one... perhaps I can jam my test box inside the wall in my SPL truck and run two 3000Ds to each and see what happens. Whenever I have time... READ: it may be a while.
