Konaki Motor Mods

80 im not really to worried about the little lose in bl seeing as this motor already has more strength than a dd 9500e series motor but well see how it goes it'll prob be awhile since I don't have the money for the recones and im not sure if im gonna be able to do it with out ruinin the gap wit all the metal shavings. O yea sry for the spelling and grammer im on my phone typing this.

I think you need to drill a hole in your skull to vent your brain because this is a dumb idea.
No, its not a dumb idea. He's doing simple R&D for himself. I cant fault anyone for being inquisitive enough to modifiy something. Even if it doesnt work, the knowledge he'll gain will be worth more than that motor is to start with.

Gotta find a place to demagnitize it.

That's cool to all the people sayin im dumb im not plannin on running these subs everyday I just wanna see if any of these methods work and y not I got the extra motors layin around and if their ****ed after ill pick more up for 70 bucks like its not that big of a deal. And tommy that's what I was thinkin I been tryin to think of ways to do it with out ****in the whole gap up wit metal shavings but I think getting it unmagnatized is the only way right now.

Thanks snoop atleast someone realizes what I wanna do and what a experiment is and that its not anything expensive shit sundown has 3 for 250 shipped I think right now lol. I could prob send it to fi or someone to get it demagnatized but I dunno how that works.

There is no way that I know of to 'demagnetize' a motor other then heating it.. and to remagnetize it you'd have to take the whole thing apart as an entire motor is not going to go through a magnetizter... (and you'd probably destroy the old strontium disks anyway)

If you had access to a milling machine I don't think it would be a big deal to do what you want.. but IMO any additional cooling is probably going to be moot... I'd maybe drill the holes through the backplate and leave it at that..

I always thought u could drop a whole motor into a magnatizer I've seen it done b4 but it was a lot smaller than the konaki motor, and yea I wasn't sure if I could demagnatize it but I heard storys of people havin their subs demagnatize...

I have a TC9 motoro with one inch slugs that isnt magnetized at the moment.. I will trade u for a Konaki motor..... Also incriminator audio will magnitize a motor for you... I THINK
