Kole Audio KBW-12 Sub Opinions, Suggestions? Just Purchased One

Hello,

I recently purchased a Kole Audio KBW-12 Sub and a Kole Audio KX2-980 Amp. Can anyone tell me about this sub, is it good, would it sound better in a ported or sealed enclosure for a single cab truck? Thanks

ive heard a pair of those 12's ported in a mustang and they sounded good 2 me but another guy with a pair of audiopipes was louder... yea i know not any JLaudio or RE but hey for budget subs they bumped pretty good. but tell me how it sounds because i also have a single cab truck and im searching around for some cheap but good subs

o yea and go with ported because i wouldnt expect it to be the best in the sound quality department so no reason goin sealed

never heard that one. i heard a kole flat sub in a single cab. not too bad. the guy had 2 of them ran off a hifonics bx1206. i was expecting to hear wet farts, but it actually produced some bass. i was impressed until i heard what he paid for them.

I'd be more worried about the amp than the sub.... remember to keep your gains at a reasonable level. Cheap amps tend to clip quickly

smiley's flea market sells kole audio stuff around here so its cheap as dirt and isnt kole the same company as power acoustic?

, I believe? of course about every low budget audio company is connected together in some way.

I'd be more worried about the amp than the sub

, I used to have their 620 watt amp and it was excellent for the price, never had any problems, never even got warm after hours of use, I usually keep all my amps gains about 1/4 from max this about right??
