Koda vs. Audiobahn

Alright guys, 2 koda 8's, 1 13kv.2 eD, 1 se 12, or 1 audiobahn aw1200q. lookin for some rankings for quality and loudness (separately). all would be in badass custom ported boxes with the proper amps. also do yall think those koda's could take a little more than they're rated for? i got an amp thats puttin out about 50 watts more than 2 of them are rated for. thanks guys.

SQ, I'd put the Koda 8s up against our Koda 10 and Brahmas. They're that good. Should hand the other options their rear end, when it comes to articulate bass reproduction. In fact, an OEM variant of the Koda 8 is used in a megabuck home sub (we build for another company) designed to work with electrostatic panels. They have the resolution and finesse to keep up with 'stats, even when crossed over above 200 Hz.

SPL, well, if you want SPL at a budget, get a Tempest and trounce all your listed options. And the SQ of the Tempest - while not as good as the Koda 8s - would also exceed any of your other options.

Really, Koda 8s are for the person who wants some great sound quality, and needs smaller drivers/boxes. If you're looking to bump loud at a budget, from the Adire line look at Tempests or Shivas.

We have some B stock items available, check the link on our home page. We don't have any B stock Koda 8s - they're brand new out! Don't usually get B stock items for several months...

I have not heard the new Koda 8's, but what Mr Wiggins says goes, so if I had to choose from whats listed I would run them or the SE 12
