not many teams have enough chips to trade for kobe. possibly garnett or duncan by themselves, otherwise it would be a multiple player trade for just kobe.

I dont think he will get traded. i think its just a cry for HELP. He's letting the organization know he wants to win and he wants better company around him.....now that he made the trade threat the organization will try to get him happy by adding quality players so they can be a championship contender.

the lakers need to keep kobe and steal jerry west back from memphis.
kobe has reascended his trade demand FYI...
there are no teams that could put together a large enough package to take on his salary this year and pay the lump sum 9 million dollars for his trade kicker...there are no teams that have that kind of $$$ available for at least another season...plus on top of that Kobe has to agree to the trade, he basically gets to pick the team he's being traded to and my guess would be that he doesn't really want to play for Boston, NJ or Memphis any time soon...

the knicks could trade 9 players for kobe, put 4 on the floor and still be better than this year............just a thought.
Kobie will NEVER win a championship on a team that he is running. Shaq was THE star on the Lakers and without him they get no rings. Kobe's a great player but he cant do it by himself and he does not make those around him better. He'll get traded a few years later as an overpayed former star and maybe get a ring playing 6th man on somebody else's team. Gary Payton???????
