Kobe Trade?

Kobie will NEVER win a championship on a team that he is running. Shaq was THE star on the Lakers and without him they get no rings. Kobe's a great player but he cant do it by himself and he does not make those around him better. He'll get traded a few years later as an overpayed former star and maybe get a ring playing 6th man on somebody else's team. Gary Payton???????

i dont want to get into a big debate or anything, and im by no stretch a kobe lover...but it was Kobe and Shaq...if your logic was correct, my Orlando Magic would have won 2 rings with a god like Shaq and a lowly nothing 2 guard named Penny...
Kobe is an AMAZING player, one of the best Basketball players EVER...hes the guy in the league right now who gets up at 3 am and is on the court at 4 working on EVERYTHING...

he may play dirty nowadays...but he is still one of the faces of the league, and for reasons which are obvious...in my mind..opinions are opinions of course...

Trade him to the Penguins for Sidney Crosby.

Crosby is younger, and white, and Canadian, he's the next Steve Nash, or something.

denver won't do a trade unless it involves someone picking up kenyon martin's huge contract. since he made umpteen millions this year and didn't deven play, i don't see that.

i've actually heard some talk about denver. it got dismissed rather quickly. can you imagine? kobe, iverson and carmelo. think those egos could co-exist? iverson may adjust ok, but not carmelo.

you could never have the 3 on the same team...financially they would break the cap every season...

i disagree actually. kenyon martin made 13 million just this year and didn't even play. it's the cohesion that wouldn't work.

well your welcome to disagree all you like but Kobe, AI and Melo are all 3 MAX CONTRACT players, that hasn't happened since the 80's early 90's and now a days under the new CBA it's nearly if not impossible...

Kobe 2007-2008 salary roughly 20 Million

Melo 2007-2008 salary roughly 9 Million

AI 2007-2008 salary roughly 19 Million

thats 48 million bucks man...not much left over to fill the other required roster spots...

i realize it. it's doable without kenyon's contract. you'd have to sacrifice some better bench players for scrubs. i wouldn't do it and neither will the nuggets, but, if they wanted to sacrifice their future to try to win a title they could.........then lose 60 games for 5 straight after losing one.
