i love the fact that he scored 2/3 of his teams points. the lakers would be so bad without kobe.

the lakers are bad regardless, they couldnt do it with kobe , shaq, mailman, and glove, and u think kobe himself is gonna do it?...dont think so buddy....lol...if they come away with a ring i'll give him props , but he aint no mike...even mike needed pippen and others, who does kobe have......lamar odom? no way, i hate when people say this. kobe can only score points, mj could score, pass, rebound, and everything else his team needed him to do.

Kobe isn't as good as MJ yet, but he can do much more than score. People seem to forget that he's a very good defender that can really shut people down, he's been an all-NBA first team defender multiple times. His D has been a little more inconsistent since last year because he has to exert all his energy into the offense, as the team is lost without him handling the ball and making plays. Same shit happened with Jordan, once he was surrounded with better players he became a better defender. Kobe's also a good rebounder for a SG, and he's a better passer than people give him credit for. He'd have more assists this year if the Lakers roster wasn't cluttered with bums that constantly brick wide open shots.

And we all know dude is money late in the game. I remember in the Finals against the Pacers, where he completely dominated and single-handidly won the game when Shaq fouled out. And that was on a bum ankle. And of course there's all the buzzer-beaters and game-winning shots he's made. I'll never forget him sticking that deep jumper in Jason Kidd's face to beat the Suns during the Lakers first title run. Too many people let their personal biases towards Kobe cloud their judgment as to how good of a player he is.
