Actually all cables fit perfectly into our terminals, but you do have to twist the strands so they are not frayed all over the place. I think it just comes down to expirience with wire more so then anything. Anytime you remove jacketing you need to twist the cable to get the air gaps out - this is with any cable
As for the price increase, everyone will see a hike across the board, its not just us. I know Tsunami is way up, I am sure you'll see Stinger over $3ft soon. Copper hit another high this week and is expected to keep climbing through summer (you can see a graph on our site that shows its exponential growth...
We are working on a few things to combat this increase, but we can only do so much when it becomes a global issue.
